KOGI WEST ADC MEMBERS TOLD TO REMAIN LOYAL AND DEDICATED
Members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in the Kogi West Senatorial District, have been encouraged to remain committed to the growth of the party and its National leader Elder Leke Abejide whose political trajectory has continued to be a nightmare to opponents.
The appeal came on heels of the ongoing sensitization tour of the state by the leadership of the party to the Kogi West Senatorial District led by its chairman and secretary to Kabba on Tuesday.
The chairman, Hon. Sunday Maiyaki appreciated the people of the area, who have shown interest and resilience to the political aspiration of the national leader of the party Elder Leke Abejide over the years.
“Our leader’s commitment to the growth of your children and you through his special interventions have gone beyond political partisanship,” he pointed out.
He reminded them that Elder Abejide’s interventions had no partisanship, as exemplified in the payments of WAEC and JAMB fees to the people through promotional activities of education in the zone.
He made reference to the seeming crisis in the party in the state where so called new members are hell-bent on destroying the legacy of the party.
He noted that Kogi ADC was not divided, adding “instead, what we have was just the internal wrangling between members of one family and would be resolved through the judicial process.”
Hon. Maiyaki expressed the commitment of the State Working Committee (SWC) to revamping the activities of the party in the state and all the local and wards levels without delay.
Speaking further, he said, “We don’t have any faction anywhere in this party. Those who are parading as members of this party without joining us in the proper ways are merely delusional.”
Speaking in the occasion, the Woman Leader of the party in the zone, Mrs. Ebun Komolafe, appealed to the party leaders to make available party’s cards as more people were concerned with getting registered, especially in the zone.
The party’s nomination forms for chairmanship and councilorship elections were handed over to the successful candidates.
