Abejide dumps ADC, plans to join new party soon
Leke Abejide, representing Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi State, has resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He cited the party’s crisis and alleged hijacking by opposition coalition members as reasons for his departure.
Abejide made the announcement at a press conference in Abuja, expressing his decision to seek a new political party with a stronger structure.
His move follows the reinstatement of the David Mark-led leadership in the ADC by INEC after a Supreme Court ruling.
The lawmaker declined to disclose his next political destination but assured that it would be made public soon.
