Ukomu Igala appeals to President Bola Tinubu to take special interest in the investigation into the murder of Salome Adaidu
Ukomu Igala Organisation (UIO) has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take special interest in the ongoing investigation into the murder of late Miss Salome El’ojo Adaidu.
Ukomu Igala, which means “voice of Igala” has expressed untold grief caused by the criminal act to the relations of the deceased lady, Igala nation and Kogi State as a whole.
Like some similar cases in the past, Ukomu Igala is concerned that justice may not be duly served, as expected.
Late Miss Salome El’ojo Adaidu was murdered by one Timilehin Ajayi, who seems to be working in company of a syndicate, before Nemesis caught up with him.
The suspect who was caught with the detached head of his victim, has admitted to committing the murderous act.
Ukomu Igala is alarmed that the security facility currently built around the suspect, in Nasarawa State may not be enough, since he has not named members of his ritual killing syndicate.
Late Salome was a National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), member, who hailed from Kogi East. His killer, who was known as “gospel singer” also hails from Kogi State.
In a letter addressed to President Tinubu, Commander of the Armed forces of Nigeria, Ukomu Igala appealed to him to take special note of the ongoing investigation on the matter.
In the letter, which was signed by its National Leader, Elder David Abutu, made available to MEDIA AGENDA, the organization suggested that the suspect be transferred to a maximum detention facility in Abuja, for tighter security.
UIO requested the security operatives in charge of the investigation to “unravel traces of likely collaborators in the heinous crime, as it suggests that more than one person was involved.”
It is highly unlikely that only one person could carry out the complex criminal deed, which has left the entire country and the world puzzled.
While asking for a thorough and meticulous job to be done in the investigation, Ukomu Igala wanted justice to be served, with minimum delay.
It also appealed to the security authorities to disregard the call by the father of the suspect for the authorities to temper justice with mercy, by releasing his criminal act, adding that the father of the suspect could be an accomplice.
