2027: It’s not going to be easy for the ruling party – Joshua Iginla
The Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, Prophet Joshua Iginla, has warned that Nigeria’s political space will witness intense battles involving the ruling party, describing the struggle as a fierce contest between two powerful forces.
Speaking during a prophetic message, Iginla said the ruling party would face a major confrontation that would not be easy to predict, likening it to a clash between an elephant and a lion. According to him, the coming political struggle would be marked by shifts in dominance and moments where either side appears to gain the upper hand.
“The ruling party will get a fight that will look like the fight of an elephant with a lion,” Iginla said. “Sometimes the lion will beat the elephant. Sometimes the elephant will beat the lion.”
He explained that both animals represent strength in different ways, noting that while the elephant is visibly powerful, the lion’s confidence is what establishes its authority. Using the analogy to interpret political dynamics, the cleric stressed that confidence and strategy could play a decisive role, even when one side appears physically or structurally stronger.
“But the confidence of the lion is the one that makes him the king of the jungle,” he stated. “If you look at the elephant, you know that the elephant too is strong.”
Iginla noted that the back-and-forth nature of the struggle suggests a highly competitive season ahead, where victories may not be permanent and alliances could shift rapidly. He added that the unfolding events would keep many observers on edge as power balances fluctuate.
Expressing concern over the situation, the prophet admitted that the intensity of the coming fight gives him reason to worry about the ruling party. “My fear for the ruling party is very wonderful,” he said, implying that the challenge ahead would test their resilience and unity.
He maintained that the contest would not be one-sided, emphasizing that strength alone would not determine the final outcome.
