Persons and properties named in alleged Bello N10bn loot
The EFCC on Monday revealed in the Federal High Court, Abuja how funds allegedly diverted from the Kogi State Government House Administration Account were used to acquire luxury properties in Abuja, totaling ₦10.27 billion.
Key figures named in the trial include:
Ali Bello – Chief of Staff to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo; nephew of former Governor Yahaya Bello. Allegedly orchestrated purchases of multiple properties
₦900m — Maitama property
₦920m — Asokoro property
₦170m — Wuse Zone 4 property
₦100m — Guzape property
₦66m — Wuse II property
Yahaya Adoza Bello – Former Governor of Kogi State. Allegedly brokered the ₦920m Asokoro property transaction and linked to renovations of his family house using state funds
Dauda Sulaiman – Co-defendant in the trial
Abdulsalami Hudu – Former cashier of the Kogi State Government House Administration Account (now at large)
Rabiu Tafada – Bureau de Change operator allegedly used to convert and move funds
Murtala Maigari – Late BDC associate involved in the Wuse Zone 4 property transaction
Ishaya Adamu Jagaba – Property owner; received ₦100m plus ₦70m converted to USD for Wuse Zone 4 property
