PDP NWC visits Fubara, confirms his leadership of party in Rivers State
A delegation of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Ibrahim Yayari visited Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State Wednesday night at Government house in Port Harcourt.
Yayari said the PDP has accepted the Court of Appeal Judgement that affirmed Udeh Okoye as PDP National Secretary.
He stated: “The essence of this visit is to assure Nigerians that PDP, from Rivers State to National level, we are working together and the governor is the leader of the PDP in Rivers State as it is the policy of the PDP that every sitting governor is the leader of the party.
“So, invariably the governor of Rivers State is the leader of the PDP, and we came to visit our leader and to reassure him that we are 100 % with him and call upon him to make PDP more stronger and call on the people of Rivers State to work with him, identify with him and support him in providing dividends of democracy as he is doing to the good people of Rivers State.” -According to a report by Rivers State Television.
