SALEM UNIVERSITY STANDS FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE – PROF. ALEWO

Salem University, Lokoja Nigeria boasts of one of the best libraries and laboratories in the country.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Alewo Johnson Akubo made this bold declaration, while addressing the media on Tuesday, in Lokoja.
The press briefing was one of the events lined up before the university’s 7th convocation, which comes up on Friday, November 21.
Professor Alewo, who said Salem University was the first private university in North Central, praised the quality of learning and teaching in the Ivory Tower.
He declared, “Our graduates, whom we proudly call Change Agents, have continued to distinguish themselves in various industries. From public administration to media, business, technology, and education, they have demonstrated diligence, creativity, and moral uprightness in every sphere of life”
The VC informed that, “he university has made remarkable progress in infrastructural development,” coupled with “the state-of-the-art buildings for Anatomy and Physiology Departments under the newly established College of Basic Medical Sciences.”
Professor Alewo affirmed that the university had made tremendous strides in “Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Human Anatomy, and Physiology—all equipped with modern laboratories and learning facilities that meet global standards”
He described the Chancellor/Founder of the university Dr Sam Amaga as “a visionary leader whose relentless courage, and uncommon dedication to God and humanity is the driving force of the institution.”
Professor Alewo attributed the gains recorded by the institution to the Chancellor’s “unshakable faith, divine insight, selfless service, and extraordinary spiritual influence.”
He further stated that, “Salem University was birthed through divine inspiration and a vision to raise global leaders who are spiritually alive, intellectually alert, and socially responsible.”
“Since inception, Salem University has remained consistent and timely in her academic calendar,” he pointed out, adding that the institution remains one of the few in the country with stable academic calendar.
“Our students graduate as scheduled, reflecting our firm adherence to discipline, morality, and institutional efficiency,” he maintained.
On Thursday, there shall be a public lecture by Professor John Alfa, as part of the events leading to the convocation.
